With stunning views and privacy, the pool and grounds are AMAZING. The house is well decorated and even has a clothes dryer which is rare in the area. Stocked with milk eggs and snacks which is rare, Francesca goes above and beyond to make everything perfect. We will definitely be back to this villa, we stayed 4 nights and wished it was 30.. again everything was absolutely perfect and is to date the BEST vacation stay we have had. And we travel the world!
We arrived at Villa Destino at the end of April through the first week in May. Everything was green and flowers were blooming everywhere. We loved the fact that Villa Destino was not just one home among many in a complex setting. This home sits alone on a hillside facing the mountains. The views were spectacular! The home was incredible, very spacious, providing a private space for all of our couples. There were so many areas to relax inside and outside with all the amenities we needed. We used the pool and the hot tub, both of which were clean and well taken care of. The grounds around the house were also beautifully landscaped. Since the villa is centrally located in Italy we were able to visit Rome and Florence for day tours. We also toured one of the many wineries in the area. The small old city of Montone is a five minute walk or drive up the hill from the villa. This home is absolutely amazing and we would love to go back!
We visited Villa Destino in December and from the moment we arrived my already high expectations were greatly exceeded! The views from the Villa are unbeatable. With 6 bedrooms and 7 baths it is the ideal size for a group of friends or large family. There are great common areas for entertaining both inside and out. Situated centrally in Umbria we were able to see so many amazing places within short driving distances such as: Florence, Siena, Perugia, Gubbio, Arezzo, Assisi, and some amazing wineries as well! The medieval town of Montone just up the hill from the villa is a must as well! After a busy day exploring Italy I can't think of a better place to come back to than Villa Destino. We will definitely be back!
Villa Destino is stunning. The view from our bedroom window of the sun rising over miles of Italian countryside was a breathtaking way to begin each day. The villa provides multiple gathering areas (inside and out) as well as 6 quiet bedrooms for guests. So many choices…STAY & RELAX: swimming pool, heated outdoor jacuzzi, outdoor games, BBQ, wine drinking, fire pit, meals prepared by the private chefs surpassed all expectations. TRAVEL & TOUR: guided tours to explore Italian destination cities, wineries for tours and wine tasting, travel by train. A luxurious and enchanting Italian retreat
You’ll never get sick of the beautiful view! The home was spacious and accommodated our group of 8 very well. The private chef dinners were just what we needed to relax after a day full of touring Italy. The nearby city of Montone was very charming and we had a wonderful dinner there as well. Italy in December was true Christmas magic with lots of markets to explore. We cannot wait to go back in the warmer months and enjoy the outdoor space and take a dip in the pool! Never a bad time to be in Umbria!
Villa Destino is nestled in the heart of Umbria, the region of Italy Italians prefer for their own holiday. The Villa overlooks a picturesque view of the countryside with ample space to explore, relax, or gather. It is a short walk from Montone, a stone paved village with locals who will call you by name before you have unpacked your bags. It also serves as a great launchpad to visit many of Italy's gems a short drive away if you get an itch for tourism. Villa Destino surpassed all expectations and was a perfect first visit to Italy, but will have us coming back to live like the Romans for many years to come!
The house is very functional for large families or multiple couples. The location overlooking the valley provides beautiful views and is so peaceful. The walled city at the top of the hill has a couple meal options and a bar. We found a good server that spoke English at the Taverna del Verziere and they had great food. The location is within an hour or 2 of Rome, Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Perugia and Assisi. Great for half or full day trips to see all that Italy has to offer! A great time was had and many fun memories were made!
Beautiful Villa with absolutely stunning views. Great location to see many town making up true Italian culture and history. Wonderful property with every amentity we needed.
This property was amazing. The views were spectacular and the private chef we had was the icing on the cake. After exploring the country it was nice to come home to a prepared meal. Oh, and the wine's from the region were a great way to finish every night. I would highly recommend this property as it was in walking distance to downtown Montone which was a really cool medieval town with nice little restaurants too.
The property was a perfect home base for our group. The beautiful views and the fire pit were a perfect way to end our days at the Villa. It was just a couple hour drive to the most iconic destinations in Italy but also far enough away from the crowds so our group could truly experience the real Italy.
